What is the Responsible Flushing Alliance?

The RFA is a non-profit organization committed to public education and advocacy surrounding what should and shouldn’t be flushed. With an increasing number of nonwoven products entering the market, it’s more important than ever to ensure that only truly flushable products—those designed to break down properly in wastewater systems—are disposed of correctly. The #FlushSmart campaign, led by the RFA, provides clear guidelines to help consumers identify flushable vs. non-flushable items and protect sewer systems from costly blockages.
